Renewed Living Homes
“Home is not just a place to live. It is a place to belong.”

Renewed Living Homes was founded on a conviction that has never wavered: adults with intellectual disabilities deserve more than just a place to sleep. They deserve a home — a real home, with the warmth, routine, dignity, and human connection that make life meaningful. We provide licensed residential care in community-based settings designed to feel less like a facility and more like a family.
Our homes serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) who require varying levels of daily support — from individuals who need 24-hour intensive staffing to those who require more moderate support to live as independently as possible. In every home we operate, the standard is the same: safety, dignity, personalization, and genuine belonging.
Person-centered planning is not a checkbox at Renewed Living Homes — it is the organizing principle of everything we do. Each resident has an individualized support plan developed in partnership with them, their family, their support coordinator, and our care team. That plan guides their daily life, their community participation, their personal goals, and the way our staff shows up for them each day.
We recruit, train, and retain Direct Support Professionals who are not just qualified — they are called to this work. Our staff are the heart of Renewed Living Homes. They are the people who share meals, celebrate milestones, navigate hard days, and show up consistently with the kind of care that changes a person’s experience of the world. We invest in our staff because we know that the quality of life in our homes is inseparable from the quality of the people in them.
Renewed Living Homes operates in full compliance with Virginia DBHDS licensure requirements and Medicaid waiver standards, ensuring that our residents receive services they are entitled to with the accountability that families and support coordinators depend on. We are proud to be a trusted partner in Virginia’s community-based ID/DD service ecosystem.
Because at the end of the day, every person who walks through our doors deserves exactly what the name of our organization promises: a renewed life in a real home.

About Our Group
At Renewed Living Homes, our philosophy of care is grounded in a simple but radical belief: adults with intellectual disabilities are full human beings with rich inner lives, unique personalities, meaningful histories, and the same fundamental desire for connection, purpose, and dignity that every person carries. Our care model is not built around managing disability — it is built around supporting the person. The concepts below reflect the values that define every home we operate and every relationship we build.
Depending on their needs and capacities, residents of Renewed Living Homes are given liberty and independence. Our team is sure to provide excellent support, quality care and individualized services that not only provide chances for the maximum quality of life, but they also nourish each individual while simultaneously encouraging progress.
Direct Support Professional Excellence
The quality of our homes rises and falls on the quality of our Direct Support Professionals. We invest significantly in staff recruitment, orientation, ongoing training, and supervision — ensuring that every DSP understands and embraces the person-centered values that define Renewed Living Homes. We compensate our staff fairly and cultivate a workplace culture that honors the dignity of those who care for others.
DBHDS Compliance & Quality Assurance
Renewed Living Homes maintains rigorous compliance with all Virginia DBHDS licensure requirements, DD Medicaid waiver standards, and applicable federal regulations. Our quality assurance processes include regular internal audits, incident review, resident and family satisfaction surveys, and ongoing collaboration with licensing authorities — ensuring that our homes consistently meet and exceed the standards our residents and their families deserve.
